I'm in the process of building a recognizer and noticed in the SongScope Documentation that in the section on "How to build a good recognizers" under "Choosing appropriate signal detection parameters" it says that the dynamic range should be matched with the expected signal-to-noise ratio of the field recordings to be analyzed. I was wondering what the signal-to-noise ratio is, or at least where to find it. I'm wanting to properly adjust the dynamic range for my recognizer.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Nate
